Reported about 1 year ago

Taiwan's climate is conducive to the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes, with the Egypt Aedes mainly found in counties and cities south of Jiayi Budai, and the White Line Aedes spread throughout Taiwan's plains and mountain areas below 1,500 meters; Dengue fever, a common viral disease in tropical and subtropical regions caused by the dengue virus, is transmitted to humans by mosquitoes carrying the virus. As Taiwan's dengue fever epidemic heats up, Dr. Tsai Maosong, Director of the Infectious Diseases Department at Asia East Hospital, advocates for understanding effective prevention and control of dengue fever. He emphasizes the importance of environmental management, personal protection, and public education, suggesting actively eliminating stagnant water areas in daily life, regularly checking and cleaning containers that may collect water, and utilizing measures such as mosquito nets, repellents, and wearing long-sleeved clothing to reduce mosquito breeding sites and minimize the spread of the virus.
