In order to enhance the air-to-air combat capabilities of their F-35A Lightning II stealth fighters, Denmark and Norway have purchased AIM-120C-8 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles from the United States. Denmark plans to acquire 84 AIM-120C-8 missiles for approximately $215.5 million, while Norway will purchase 300 missiles for around $1.94 billion. The missiles will replace older versions currently equipped on their existing aircraft and will be used alongside their new F-35A fleets.
