Detroit Pistons have fired head coach Williams after just one season, but will continue to pay the remainder of his hefty contract. Williams, who previously won NBA Coach of the Year, signed a 6-year, $78.5 million contract with the Pistons last year but was let go after the team's poor performance. Despite being dismissed, the Pistons will honor his remaining salary. The team had hoped Williams would lead them to success with promising young players, but a record-breaking losing streak led to his departure.
