Diabetes Alert! This Medication Can Reduce Retinopathy and Heart Failure, Physicians Suggest Doing This

Reported 8 months ago

Diabetes is a common chronic disease, with prolonged high blood sugar leading to various cardiovascular diseases, kidney damage, and retinopathy. A new study confirms that using the SGLT-2 inhibitor, a novel antidiabetic drug, in type 2 diabetes patients not only effectively lowers blood sugar levels but also reduces the risk of retinopathy, incidences of hypoglycemia, and hospitalizations due to heart failure. This significant research finding was published in the December 2023 issue of the international journal 'JAMA Network Open.'
