Various industries are facing labor shortages, including the shuttle bus drivers for preschools. In some cases, preschools have struggled to find suitable drivers for up to a year, speculating that individuals may have opted for driving taxis or doing food delivery instead. Due to the shortage, there are proposals to relax the age limit requirement for preschool shuttle bus drivers from under 65 to under 68, similar to school bus drivers. Concerns have been raised by parents regarding safety and attention issues. The issue of driver shortages remains unresolved, with suggestions for better screening, training, and health checks for older drivers.
