Din Tai Fung has announced price increases for all 150 items on its menu, including signature dishes like Xiao Long Bao, shrimp and egg fried rice, side dishes, pork and vegetable wontons with chili sauce, and chicken soup, with an average increase of 6%. The adjustment comes in response to rising operating costs, particularly in terms of labor, with the service industry facing significant labor shortages. Following recent salary adjustments for employees, Din Tai Fung offers competitive entry-level salaries for both front-of-house service staff and kitchen chefs in the restaurant industry.
