Yahoo News, June 27, 2024, 9:28 pm - Guo Taiqiang, chairman of Central Motion Pictures Corporation, accused director Weide Sheng of owing him NT$45 million, resulting in the freezing of Weide Sheng's assets. Weide Sheng and his film company sued Guo Taiqiang for fraud, breach of trust, forgery of documents, and embezzlement. The Taipei District Prosecutor's Office found insufficient evidence to prosecute Guo Taiqiang for fraud and decided not to prosecute him. Guo Taiqiang had funded Weide Sheng's film 'Seediq Bale,' but claims of unpaid debt led to legal action and asset freeze. Weide Sheng denies any debt and filed a lawsuit against Guo Taiqiang and others for fraud, forging documents, breach of trust, and embezzlement, which was not prosecuted due to lack of evidence.
