Superior Trading Company's controversy over imported eggs continues as Public Party legislator Huang Kuo-chang disclosed that before the establishment of the company, they already had orders for Japanese eggs. The Agriculture Ministry provided conflicting information on the quantity of eggs purchased, with discrepancies amounting to 5 to 6 million eggs. Huang also criticized the Ministry for changing its stance on who obtained the import permit for Japanese eggs in August 2022, revealing inconsistencies in the Ministry's responses and raising questions about the authenticity of the data provided. This scandal, along with issues of egg shortages and pricing, led to the resignation of the Minister of Agriculture.
