Changes in modern dietary habits have led to an increase in chronic diseases, with diabetes and high triglycerides being particularly severe. A young man in his 20s recently found his fasting blood sugar reaching nearly 500 mg/dL and triglycerides soaring over 4000 mg/dL during a health check, also diagnosed with renal medullary calcification. Despite knowing about his blood sugar problem, the man neglected to take his prescribed medication regularly, prompting a doctor to reprimand him. The occurrence reaffirms the close link between dietary habits and diseases like diabetes and high triglycerides.
