A renowned BBQ restaurant at Nangang Train Station in Taipei faced hygiene issues when a customer claimed to have sucked a cockroach from their drink and accidentally chewed it. Despite the incident, the restaurant offered to waive the customer's bill but still charged the rest of the table at a discounted rate. Taipei City Health Bureau has announced an inspection following this incident to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and will issue fines if violations are found.
