A group known as 'Dismantling Action' has initiated a recall of Keelung City Mayor, Xie Guoliang, which is nearing the second phase threshold. The day before, the Kuomintang held a parliamentary empowerment law promotion in Keelung, with Chairman Eric Chu endorsing Xie and criticizing the Democratic Progressive Party. Despite the accusation of green party interference in the recall, the spokesperson for 'Dismantling Action' countered, stating that many signatories are actually supporters from the Kuomintang. Furthermore, if Xie's recall is successful, the Kuomintang may seek to impeach Keelung City Council Speaker, Tong Ziwei in return.
