Disney has announced plans to build a new theme park and resort in Abu Dhabi, marking its first significant venture into the Middle East and its seventh global resort. This project is part of Disney's strategy to invest $60 billion in theme parks and cruise lines by 2033. The Abu Dhabi resort will be developed in partnership with Miral, with Disney overseeing creative design. Although specific details are yet to be unveiled, the project aims to serve the underserved population in the region and is expected to take over five years to complete.
