Disney has requested to dismiss its federal lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis after his appointees approved a development deal with Disney, ending the last piece of conflict. The agreement allows Disney to invest $17 billion in Disney World over the next two decades, build a fifth major theme park, and increase hotel rooms and retail spaces. The conflict began when DeSantis took control of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District after Disney opposed a law banning certain classroom subjects.
