Another conflict over the priority seat erupted, this time in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, when two middle-aged men on the MRT saw a 23-year-old man, surnamed Li, sitting in the priority seat without giving it up. They not only scolded him loudly but also pushed his head against the window. Despite the initial police claim that Li lost control of his emotions and was yelling inside the train, a video shared by a fellow passenger contradicted this, leading to the two middle-aged men being charged with assault. The incident renews the ongoing debate over the use and etiquette of priority seats.
