On June 20, 2024, Taipei City Council's Finance Committee inquired about Taipei Smart Light Network's backup system issues. The committee discovered that in addition to the TGSN fee set by the Taipei City Government, Taipei Smart Light Network requested an additional network service fee, refused to lower the rate, and claimed it was confidential. Former Secretary-General of Ko Wen-je's administration, Chen Chih-ming, expressed concerns about potential undisclosed dealings. The committee will invite representatives from Taipei Smart Light Network to the next meeting to clarify the calculation of the network service fee and profits in recent years.
