In South Korea, well-known DJ Yesong was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a fatal drunk driving incident in February where she hit a delivery worker and failed to immediately call for help, instead holding her dog in shock inside the car. The victim later died from severe bleeding. Yesong's blood alcohol level was found to be 0.221%, exceeding the legal limit, sparking public outrage. Yesong's defense lawyer stated she felt pressured to attend events for work which led to drinking. Yesong tearfully apologized in court, acknowledging the severity of her actions. The first trial verdict is scheduled for July 9th.
