U.S. dock workers and port operators have reached a tentative agreement to end a three-day strike that disrupted shipping along the East and Gulf Coasts. The deal includes a proposed wage increase of around 62% over six years, raising average pay to approximately $63 per hour. This agreement resolves the largest work stoppage in nearly 50 years, which had resulted in over 45 container ships being unable to unload. Workers are expected to return to their jobs immediately, while further negotiations on outstanding issues will continue.
