A female professor at Southern Medical University in China, Yu Li, faced disciplinary action for being late to class after rushing to save a child in critical condition. Despite the incident being reported, the university acknowledged the situation and stated they are investigating further. The doctor, who was dealing with a life-threatening emergency, was only late by 29 minutes, unintentionally, due to saving the child. She managed to arrive promptly after the emergency, complete her teaching duties, and cause no adverse effects, yet she was still penalized by the university.
