On June 22, 2024, at 6:07 AM, a man in Taichung was riding a motorcycle with his unleashed Shiba Inu, which ran into the roadway and caused two vehicles to collide. The rider then fled the scene with the dog but was later found by the police. He was fined and had to take responsibility for the damages caused by the incident.
