Domestic and Overseas Fund Sizes Reach New Highs Simultaneously

Reported 8 months ago

Bond and balanced fixed-income fund products continue to attract funds, boosting record-high domestic and overseas fund sizes. According to statistics from an overseas fund observation station, in May, the net subscription and redemption amount of overseas funds reached NT$17.7 billion, with stock funds experiencing net outflows while fixed-income and balanced funds continued to attract inflows. As of the end of May, the total fund size in Taiwan increased by nearly NT$274.9 billion, pushing the overall domestic fund size past the NT$8 trillion mark, reaching NT$8.06 trillion, with bond ETFs leading the growth, followed by Taiwan stock ETFs. The healthy fundamentals of companies issuing investment-grade bonds, coupled with the increased risk appetite of investors, have led to non-investment grade bonds outperforming investment-grade bonds and government bonds this year.
