In response to carbon taxation and to deepen their advantage in green operations, a precast concrete factory of domestic building materials announced on June 17, 2024, that the entire group has collaborated with upstream suppliers like Taiwanese sand and gravel manufacturers to obtain the 'Scope 3' international certification in carbon inventory verification from DNV, an internationally accredited greenhouse gas inspection agency. This certification is expected to significantly aid in securing orders from technology plants and green building clients. The boundary of this carbon inventory verification includes all branches of the domestic building materials industry in Taiwan, 28 concrete plants across Taiwan, and important related enterprises such as HP, Taipei Port Trade, Guoyu Building Materials, and Guoxing Cement. This achievement in certification aims to enhance the group's carbon competitiveness and operational advantage, satisfying the needs of advanced technology plants as well as aiding the entire construction industry in transitioning towards low-carbon buildings.
