Reported 12 months ago

TECO's Indian subsidiary, TEMICO, has successfully secured an order from a major Indian electric vehicle manufacturer for 55,000 sets of power systems. The three-year contract includes providing drive systems for 5,000 9-meter and 12-meter electric buses and power systems for 50,000 light commercial vehicles, with mass production scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025. This breakthrough marks TECO's commitment to localized production in India and expansion in response to the country's growing electric vehicle market, aiming to further develop Taiwan's electric vehicle industry overseas. TEMICO's focus on environmentally friendly practices and plans for local manufacturing aim to meet India's transition to electric buses by 2030 and take advantage of the expanding market. TECO's experience in Taiwan's electric bus power system market positions them strategically in India with significant market opportunities.
