DPP Chairman Lai Ching-te listed 5 major achievements in parliamentary reform, including further evolution of the parliamentary channel, extensive disclosure of meeting documents, barrier-free parliamentary venues, seamless access to information, and popularization of parliamentary literacy. Despite efforts to enhance the law for questioning politics being blocked by the opposition, Lai hopes the opposition party can heed the people's demand for procedural justice and ensure that various versions of the law can be discussed and reviewed. DPP convened its Central Standing Committee meeting and invited Professor Lin Chih-chieh from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University to present a special report on 'Real Parliamentary Reform - How DPP Establishes a Professional Parliament Belonging to the People'.
