DPP Chair Lai Ching-te recently expressed hopes for constructive dialogue between ruling parties across the Taiwan Strait. DPP China Department Director Wu Jyun-jhih stated in an interview that the lack of preconditions indeed means no preconditions. He highlighted that the CCP has unilaterally cut off communication, failing to respond despite Taiwan's continuous efforts towards exchanges. The DPP continues to advocate for equal and dignified interactions, emphasizing understanding each other's political differences and opinions rather than falling into a unification trap.
