DPP responds as parliamentary reform rejected by KMT and TPP

Reported over 1 year ago

The parliamentary reform reconsideration proposed by the Executive Yuan was rejected today under the joint efforts of the Kuomintang and Taiwan People's Party. In response, the DPP immediately held a press conference, with the caucus leader Ker Chien-ming stating they will draft a constitutional interpretation in the shortest time, trusting the decision of the grand justices. Rejected on parliamentary reform, the DPP will present a constitutional interpretation. Ker Chien-ming expressed disappointment in the opposition's actions, emphasizing concerns of excessive power accumulation by one party and the diminishing of checks and balances. The DPP calls for constitutional interpretation to combat the forced reform.
