During the press conference after the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)'s Central Standing Committee meeting, it was announced that 35-year-old Han Ying will be taking over as the new spokesperson, succeeding New Taipei City Councilor Zhuo Guan-ting, who resigned from the position to run for a party internal executive member seat. Han Ying, a FJU graduate, has a background in journalism and has worked as a reporter and news anchor for various media outlets, including UDN TV and Public Television Service, covering public issues and major international events. She expressed her honor to take on the role and aims to communicate policies clearly and effectively with the public, alongside the current spokespersons. Han Ying clarified that she currently has no intention of running for elections and will focus on adapting to her new party role.
