DPP Kaohsiung City Committee Chair Huang Wen-yi held a press conference with five students, urging KMT legislators Ke Chih-en and Chen Ching-hui to listen to Kaohsiung residents' demands and support the reconsideration motion proposed by the Executive Yuan. Huang also called on supporters to call opposition legislators' offices to express opposition to the parliament reform bill. The DPP criticized the bill as granting the Legislative Yuan excessive power, while Blue and White legislators are pushing through unconstitutional chaos. Huang asked if Ke and Chen, both raised in Kaohsiung, would support the KMT's bill to recover improper party assets in the future, questioning if this would be acceptable to their Kaohsiung supporters. Students emphasized the importance of defending democracy and expressed disappointment in the legislators' actions.
