A man in Kaohsiung city, Mr. Ho, was driving when his car was hit by another vehicle whose driver then fled the scene. Despite reporting the incident to the police, it took them half a month to locate the driver. Frustrated by the back-and-forth responses from different police departments, Mr. Ho lodged a complaint against the mayor, leading to the case being taken seriously and the driver eventually being prosecuted under traffic laws. The incident occurred on May 26 on a expressway in Fengshan, where the colliding vehicle fled the scene, leaving Mr. Ho and his family shocked and stranded. Eventually, after providing video evidence, the police were able to locate the driver and take action.
