In Miaoli, Taiwan, a car crashed into a lamp post and caught fire with the driver fleeing the scene. The burnt vehicle was found deserted but a man was discovered hiding under an excavator nearby, claiming to have fallen and requesting no police involvement. The man eventually crawled out and attempted to escape 'dog-style,' but was reported to authorities by a passerby. The driver remained missing, leaving behind a burnt car and even a dead snake at the scene, while a small black dog at a construction site nearby drew attention to the man's attempt to hide under the excavator. The man, who was described as wearing blue shirt, black pants, and carrying slippers, soon lay in a bush before being discovered by the resident and alerting the police.
