A 53-year-old man surnamed Li in New Taipei City was driving an SUV on Danjin Road in Tamsui District. He changed lanes to give way to an ambulance, causing a female motorcyclist surnamed Cheng to rear-end the SUV and fall off her motorcycle, fracturing her right hand. Despite the severity of the accident, Cheng did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Investigation revealed that both parties had a blood alcohol content of 0, indicating that the SUV driver's lane change to yield to the ambulance likely led to the collision. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
