In Xinyi District, Taipei, a driver without a license caused a string of car accidents involving 16 motorbikes and then fled the scene, abandoning the car. The police were able to track him down at his home within an hour of the incident. The driver, surnamed Yang, admitted to the offense, claiming he was momentarily distracted. Although his alcohol test was negative, he will still be prosecuted for hit-and-run and driving without a license, with further investigations ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
