In New Taipei City, a 34-year-old man suspected to be under the influence of drugs, almost committed a familicide due to drug-induced hallucinations. He wielded two machetes in the street and continued to swing them at his home, almost harming his 4-year-old daughter. His 12-year-old son ran out and called for help, leading to the police apprehending him. The man, found with drug remnants on him, was detained for endangering the public, obstructing official duties, and violating drug laws, and will face prosecution by the New Taipei District Prosecutor's Office.
