A criminal group was busted by Taiwan's Criminal Investigation Bureau in a cross-border drug trafficking case involving $50 million worth of marijuana purchased in the US and hidden in barrel-shaped international packages labeled as Christmas decorations, with the drugs delivered by exploiting terminally ill patients. The group's despicable actions were exposed when police tracked the delivery to a residence in New Taipei City, leading to several arrests and seizure of the drugs. The main suspect, along with six other members, were apprehended and face charges under drug trafficking and organized crime laws.
