Taiwan's major intravenous fluid drug manufacturer, Yongfeng Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., has been ordered to halt production due to regulatory violations, potentially impacting clinical medical drug supply. In response, Taiwan FDA announced emergency measures, with the first batch of 100,000 bags of injectable saline solution scheduled to arrive in Taiwan tonight to address the shortage caused by the factory's closure. The FDA emphasized efforts to fill the manufacturing gap and ensure continuous drug supply to medical institutions, urging against excessive or unnecessary ordering of intravenous fluid drugs to prevent wastage.
