During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, two drug offenders stole 50 water meters from a residential building in Wenshan District, Taipei City, leaving the residents without water supply. The offenders were caught and confessed to the theft, selling the stolen water meters for a meager sum of 5000 New Taiwan Dollars to a recycling plant in Songshan District. This incident serves as a reminder for citizens to enhance security measures, especially during holidays, to prevent similar theft cases.
