A man surnamed Zhou in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, smashed his own sedan with an excavator after an argument with his separated wife, causing a scene where he blocked her doorway with his white sedan before destroying it. Zhou's blood alcohol level was 0.32 milligrams above the legal limit, leading to his arrest for public endangerment. Initially mistaken online as a case of a homeowner frustrated with a blocked driveway resorting to drastic measures, it was revealed to be a domestic dispute where Zhou smashed his own car. Police intervened and took action against Zhou for drunk driving and public endangerment.
