Duckhorn Portfolio, a luxury wine maker, will be acquired by private equity firm Butterfly Equity in an all-cash deal valued at $1.95 billion. Shareholders will receive $11.10 per share, a premium of about 106% over the previous closing price. The transaction is approved by Duckhorn’s board and is anticipated to complete this winter, pending regulatory approval, with a 'go-shop' period allowing Duckhorn to seek better offers until November 20.
