According to the calculations of the Taipei Astronomical Museum, the moment of the summer solstice in 2024 will be at 4:51 am on June 21, making it the earliest in 228 years since 1796. The summer solstice marks the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, with the sun reaching its highest point at noon. In some areas like Chiayi Shuishang and Hualien Yuli passing through the Tropic of Cancer, a unique spectacle called 'Sun Stands Still' will be observable at noon during the summer solstice.
