Weather expert Lin De-en warns of intense rainfall in Japan due to the early northward movement of the plum rain front, particularly affecting Kyushu, Shikoku, and Kinki areas around 17th and 18th of June. Travelers visiting Japan are advised to be cautious of potential severe weather conditions. In Taiwan, hot weather continues with the likelihood of afternoon thunderstorms, especially in mountainous areas. Measures to prevent heat-related illnesses are advised as temperatures rise, with Taoyuan County on orange alert for a high probability of 36°C temperatures and Taitung County on yellow alert for the occurrence of scorching winds.
