Recent data shows a significant easing in inflation rates, as the Consumer Price Index rose only 0.2% in July. Prices for several common items, including used cars, cell phones, and TVs, have begun to decline, with used car prices dropping nearly 11% year over year. While auto insurance costs continue to surge, gasoline prices have stabilized, and some grocery items are seeing slower price increases, the overall inflation still remains above the Federal Reserve's target.
