In response to the trend of artificial intelligence (AI), the Digital Ministry and National Development Council in Taiwan are considering amending regulations to expand AI talent, creating an AI ecological park, and reviewing and loosening regulations related to attracting talent, including the 'Foreign Professional Talent Recruitment and Employment Act'. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economic Affairs plans to utilize Taiwan's abundant knowledge and data in manufacturing and service industries to develop Taiwan's exclusive generative AI core technology, aiming for 50% application of AI in manufacturing by 2028. Various government agencies are collaborating to deepen Taiwan's AI ecosystem, nurture AI talent, promote industrial AI transformation, and boost digital transformation and AI empowerment to expand industrial development for a smarter future.
