Eat Before Drinking Water! Medical Recommendations for 'Eating Order' to Prevent Colon Cancer and Weight Loss

Reported 12 months ago

With the increasing incidence of colorectal cancer in Taiwan due to changes in lifestyle and Westernized diets, many people are focusing on cancer prevention. To reduce the risk of colon cancer, Dr. Hsiao Dun-Ren suggests following the dietary sequence of 'water, vegetables, meat, rice, soup, fruit.' Drinking 300-500 ml of water 30 minutes before eating can help prevent overeating, leading to weight loss and a reduced risk of colon cancer. The Taiwan Cancer Foundation also advises on improving dietary habits by consuming low-fat, low-protein, low-calorie foods, moderating alcohol intake, eating more high-fiber fruits and vegetables, and increasing vitamins A, C, and E intake.
