Many people's staple food is noodles, but it hides health risks. Nutritionist Chen Man-ling pointed out that commonly consumed wheat noodles, such as instant noodles, oil noodles, and noodle strands, often contain added salt during the manufacturing process, leading to excessive sodium intake. Consuming too much sodium can cause high blood pressure, kidney disease, cardiovascular diseases, and obesity. Chen also recommended options like low-sodium noodles such as konjac noodles, tofu noodles, and brown rice noodles to reduce sodium intake.
