Economic Affairs Minister: Cheaper Electricity Not Necessarily Better, No Need for Air Conditioning in Every Room

Reported 8 months ago

Economic Affairs Minister Guo Zhuhui reiterated on June 16, 2024, that Taiwan does not lack electricity and emphasized that cheaper electricity doesn't always mean better quality. Using the example of installing two air conditioners in a 30-square-meter space, he suggested it is sufficient, but in reality, most 30-square-meter homes in Taipei have at least three air conditioners. The public also pointed out that this is simply 'illogical'.
