Economic Minister Guo Zhihui stirred up controversy by suggesting not to install air conditioning in every room, but later clarified that his intention was to promote energy conservation. He emphasized the importance of using energy-efficient appliances instead. Tips were given on saving electricity by raising the air conditioning temperature by just 1 degree, potentially saving around 427 yuan per year. Additional advice included adjusting settings such as fan speed and using additional cooling methods to optimize energy usage while maintaining comfort in the hot climate of Taiwan.
