Economic Ministry Announces 3 Personnel Changes: Yang Chih-ching Promoted to Head of Industrial Development Bureau, Lee Kuan-chih Promoted to Head of Small and Medium Business Administration, Chuang Ming-chi Appointed Chief Secretary

The Executive Yuan has approved three personnel changes in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, including Yang Chih-ching being promoted to head of the Industrial Development Bureau, Lee Kuan-chih to head of the Small and Medium Business Administration, and Chuang Ming-chi to chief secretary. The vacancy for the Director of the General Planning Office will be temporarily filled by Deputy Director Hsu Chia-ling, and it is rumored that Hu Chi-chuan, the current head of the Economic Division in the United States, is a front-runner for the Deputy Director of the Department of Trade. The Ministry explained that Lee Kuan-chih, the new head of the Small and Medium Business Administration, is 57 years old and has extensive experience in trade promotion and bilateral investment agreements. Yang Chih-ching, promoted to head of the Industrial Development Bureau, played a key role in promoting the localization of the semiconductor supply chain and coordinating COVID-19 response efforts, including the production of masks. Chuang Ming-chi, appointed as chief secretary, has experience in energy development and greenhouse gas reduction planning, as well as cross-domain policy integration and sustainable development planning related to the net-zero initiative.
