FTNN News Network reported on July 1, 2024, that the Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that after the legal establishment of the solar power plants, completion of construction inspections is required to obtain equipment registration or electricity business licenses. The Economic Ministry emphasized that the Lanyang Group has not yet obtained electricity business licenses for its seven solar projects; thus, no payments have been made. Taiwan Power Company has been requested not to pay any electricity purchase fees until it is confirmed that the projects have obtained legal permits. The Ministry warned that if any illegalities are found in the establishment procedures, legal responsibilities will be pursued, and permits will be revoked, with full accountability upheld. Investigation into the Tainan City Government's review process and possible falsification issues in the land-use change approval for the Lanyang Group's projects is ongoing, with due diligence expected.
