According to the Financial Times on June 16th, 2024, insiders revealed that during a meeting with the President of the European Commission, Xi Jinping stated that the U.S. was attempting to instigate an attack on Taiwan, but he would not fall for it. Xi denied having any plans for military action against Taiwan in 2027 or 2035 during a meeting with President Biden in November.
