Economics Minister Guo Zhihui announced that he would lead a delegation to the U.S. and possibly meet Huida CEO Huang Jen-hsin and Supermicro Chairman Su Tze-feng, as both are on the visit list. However, due to scheduling arrangements, it is uncertain if the meetings will take place. The purpose of the trip is to strengthen Taiwan-U.S. economic and trade relations, convey the new government's policies, and encourage U.S. businesses to invest in Taiwan while fostering partnership in supply chains. Minister Guo had previously revealed discussions with three international companies to establish AI research centers or data centers in Taiwan, potentially including investments from Huang Jen-hsin and Amazon AWS, with speculation on the third company possibly being AMD.
