Edgar Bronfman Jr. has officially proposed a $4.3 billion bid for Paramount Global, seeking to take control from the Redstone family and counter an existing agreement with Skydance Media. His plan includes purchasing National Amusements for $2.4 billion, along with a $1.5 billion investment to reduce Paramount's debt. In his strategy, Bronfman aims to eliminate Paramount's dual-class shareholder structure, providing better terms for non-Redstone investors. The bid comes as Paramount faces challenges adapting to the shift towards streaming.
